Preserving Virginia through education and outreach

Virginia’s natural and historic landscapes are unparalleled – they range from the amazing waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay to the beautiful scenic viewsheds of the Blue Ridge Mountains; from the rolling pasturelands of the Piedmont to the rural character of Southside Virginia.

The Virginia League of Conservation Voters Education Fund seeks to preserve this treasured landscape for future generations by working to shed light on our state’s most pressing environmental topics including: land use and conservation, transportation, energy-related issues, and air and water quality.
sunset1We accomplish this by educating conservation-minded Virginians in the solutions to our most pressing conservation problems and by working closely with decision-makers to ensure they have the information they need to best protect our Commonwealth.
Our Conservation Action Teams seek to recruit, train and engage leaders in communities all across the Commonwealth.
Our Annual Conservation Retreats provide opportunities for Virginia’s decision-makers to see firsthand how the state policies they enact impact our communities, our environment and our economy.
Additionally, we work collaboratively with partner organizations to help continue to preserve the natural landscape we care so deeply about.
The Virginia League of Conservation Voters Education Fund was founded in 2001 by the Virginia League of Conservation Voters. The Education Fund is an independent organization with its own mission and programs and is governed by a Board of Directors.
The Education Fund is recognized by the IRS as a charitable organization; therefore contributions are tax deductible as allowed by federal law.
