The Conservation Community
The Virginia League of Conservation Voters – Education Fund (VALCV-EF) works in partnership with a broad array of conservation groups across Virginia to develop a “common agenda” for the community.
Virginia League of Conservation Voters (VALCV)
VALCV works to influence state-level conservation policy and serves as the political voice of Virginia’s conservation community. After the General Assembly session each year, VALCV produces a Conservation Scorecard to help constituents hold their elected officials accountable for their votes on conservation issues.
Virginia Conservation Network (VCN)
VCN is the umbrella organization for over 100 Virginia conservation groups and provides the structure to bring these groups together to develop a common agenda.
National Conservation Organizations
League of Conservation Voters – Education Voters (LCV-EF)
LCV-EF works to mobilize citizens as informed voters and strong advocates for conservation policies on the national level. With projects like The Heat is On campaign, LCV-EF works to make strong federal climate change legislation a reality.
League of Conservation Voters (LCV)
LCV works to turn conservation values into national priorities. LCV’s mission is to advocate for sound conservation policies and to elect pro-conservation candidates who will adopt and implement such policies. LCV produces an annual National Environmental Scorecard to track federal officials’ votes on key environmental legislation.
State Capacity Building Division of LCV
Formerly known as the Federation of State Conservation Voter Leagues, the mission of the State Capacity Building Division of LCV is to elevate the profile of state environmental politics by increasing the institutional and, more importantly, the political capacity of state Leagues of Conservation Voters (LCVs). There are now state leagues in 34 states, up from 7 in 1997.

State Voices – Virginia Table
VALCV-EF seeks to work in coalition with other organizations whenever possible and has been a member of the State Voices c3 table, which seeks to develop collaborative plans for civic engagement in the state.
